Hong Kong, September 2009. Loedige Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lödige Systems GmbH, with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, has recently been awarded the contract to deliver the Material Handling System for Air China’s Air Cargo Terminal 3 expansion at Beijing Capital International Airport. The project valued at over 3 million EUR adds to recent success for Loedige Asia in securing projects in Singapore, India and Vietnam worth over 10 million EUR.

Air China Air Cargo Terminal 3, Phase 1
Air China’s Air Cargo Terminal 3 will be one of the national cargo hub in China, providing airline companies, freight forwarding agents and consignors with all-round ground services for international air cargo transport.
Loedige is responsible for the design of mechanical, electrical and control systems; fabrication, material transportation, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete Air Cargo Handling System.
The Air Cargo Terminal 3, Phase 1 is composed of 2 terminals, the first is the International Cargo Terminal (building area of approximately 50,000m²) and the second is the Domestic Cargo Terminal (building area of approximately 30,000m²).The designed annual throughput is 800,000 tonnes with peak throughput of 2,222 tonnes/day upon completion of Phase 2. Completion of Phase 1 is scheduled for early 2010.
